How to Book Indian Railways Train Tickets Online Using IRCTC

Booking railway tickets when you are planning to go somewhere is a big problem. You have to go to the railway station, be in queue for hours and more and then get your tickets if it is available. But now if you want to book Railway Tickets from your home then it is very easy to book your railway tickets if you have Internet connection, Online Banking or ATM Card of any National Bank. Follow the steps and book your tickets.

1. Click here to Open the IRCTC Website for booking your tickets online.

2. If you are not a user here then create your account here. Its free.

3. Login to the above website using your username and password.

4. Choose train ticket from the radio button just near the username box.

5. Now, Click on Plan my Travel option in Services column.

6. Fill the details like: To, From, Date of Journey, Class, Ticket Type, Quota.

7. In Ticket Type, There is two type i-Tickets and e-ticket. Choose e-tickets.

8. Select the Tatkal quota if you want to book a Tatkal Ticket.

9. Click on find train to see the list of train running from specified location.

10. Now, it will show you the list of trains. Select your train by checking the radio button in front of the train name.

11. Click on Book Ticket Button to proceed for booking the ticket.

12. Now, Fill all the details like Name, age, birth preference, mobile number etc and then click on Go button.
13. Now, Recheck your details before making final Payment.
14. If every thing is ok then click on Make payment.
15. Select the bank and then enter the details like card number and password, if you are paying by debit card.

16. After doing all payment if will redirect you to the above website and then you can print the ticket or save that ticket for taking printout at later time..
