Recently Google have introduced this great feature for all bloggers where they can change the permalink of their old and upcoming blog posts in blogger.com. This new feature will help users to remove stop words from their blog post url which may give a little SEO benefit. This update was very much required and now blogger can be considered as powerful as wordpress. But Still I am waiting For Google to add an option to change the URL & Extension of permalink as we can do easily in wordpress specially removing the year and month from URL. Hope they might comeup with this new update later but at present we are happy with this permalink change update.

Permalink is working well on my blogger blog but I would like to know whether it is safe to change the addresses of the older posts. What should I do? Shall I redirect the older posts to the new customized permalinks?
If you change the permalink the old urls will show 404 errors. So, Better not to change and concentrate on the permalink of new posts.
